Highlights     Wreaths laid before cemeteries of martyrs
  Wreaths were laid at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong, the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on the 9th on the occasion of the 73rd founding anniversary of the DPRK.
  Guards of honour of the Korean People's Army were lining up at the cemeteries.
  Attending the wreath-laying ceremonies were Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, and Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK.
  Present there were senior officials of the Party and the government and officials of the Party Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Cabinet, ministries, national agencies and the Party and government organs in Pyongyang City.
  Members of the armed forces organs were also on hand.
  Amid the playing of the wreath-laying music, wreaths were placed on the wreath-laying stands of the cemeteries in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK and the State Affairs Commission, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK.
  The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs.
  They looked round the cemeteries.
  That day, bouquets and flowers were laid before the bronze statues and cemeteries of the martyrs, and memorial towers for and cemeteries of the fallen soldiers of the Korean People's Army in different parts of the country.
