Highlights     Founding anniversary of WPK marked in DPRK
  The entire Korean people significantly celebrated the 76th founding anniversary of the glorious Workers' Party of Korea.
  A lot of people visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the founder and builder of the WPK, are laid in state.
  The visitors entered the park of the plaza of the palace in humble reverence for the peerlessly great men and looked back upon their immortal exploits with deep emotion.
  Performances were given in the capital Pyongyang and provinces.
  A concert of the National Symphony Orchestra was given at the Moranbong Theatre, the revolutionary drama "Blood at an International Conference" at the National Theatre, the magic suite "Wonders" at the Jugglery Theatre of the National Acrobatic Troupe and a performance of the Phibada Opera Troupe outside the Pyongyang Grand Theatre.
  Outdoor performances were given in different places of Pyongyang by the Art Squad of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, the Workers' Art Group of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, the Art Squad of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, the Art Squad of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, the Art Squad of the Ministry of Railways, the Art Squad of the Capital City Construction Commission and the Art Squad of Pyongyang City.
  The art troupes of North Phyongan, North Hwanghae, North Hamgyong and other provinces also gave performances such as "Glory to Our Great Party", "We Sing of the Mother Party" and "Songs of Love".
  Dancing parties of youth and students and women's unionists took place across the country.
  That day, there took place men's and women's individual pattern competitions and group sparring between the Taekwon-Do Team of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee and the Pyongyang City Taekwon-Do Team at the Taekwon-Do Hall.
  Light decorations were displayed in the streets of Pyongyang including Ryomyong Street and Mirae Scientists Street and other parts of the country, adding to the festive mood.
