The Ryongmun Cavern showing multifarious shapes of things is at the foot of Mt. Ryongmun, a branch of Mt. Myohyang, a celebrated mountain of Korea. It is very large of the limestone caverns in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Seen on both walls of the 200-odd-metre long corridor at the entrance are over 50 visual aids showing noted places.

The cavern has two main caves and many branch caves. The wonderful and mysterious scenery resembling an underground palace is seen tens of metres under the ground, in the section of some kilometres in total.

There are more than 20 noted places in the cavern.
Past the observatory showing the magnificence of the Ryongmun Cavern, there is a noted place called Manmul(Myriads of Shapes) Cave. The cave has various shapes of stalactites, making the visitors feel as if they are in a museum.
Phungnyon(Bumper Harvest) Cave giving the emotion of autumn with rich harvest has a large stalagmite resembling a rich grain stack. The stalagmite is over 10 metres round and over 4 metres high. It still gets bigger and bigger.
There are beautiful stone flowers in the Paekhwa(All Kinds of Flowers) Cave and stalactites resembling a jewelled chandelier in the Posok(Jewellery) Cave. All the noted places show peculiar views.
What is conspicuous in the masterpieces of the cavern is the rare Samsonam Falls which is falling from 30-metre-high place. It falls straight in the middle of the three rock walls without touching the rock. Under it there is a three-metre-deep blue pond.
The Ryongmun Plaza is the last noted place in the course of visit to the Ryongmun Cavern. Its ceiling and walls are decorated with stone flowers which have just begun to be open.
