Phyongnam Hot Spring
The Phyongnam Hot Spring called the Ryonggang Hot Spring is in Onchon Township, Onchon County of Nampho City.
Going about three kilometres to the west from the hot spring resort, there is the West Sea of Korea and standing in the southeast is Mt. Sindok with the Sindok Spring Water widely known to the world.
The hot spring gushes out in six places. Its temperature is about 55 degrees centigrade and its pH is 7.3 to 7.4. The total amount of minerals is 24 to 26 grams per litre, which means that it is the hot spring with the most minerals in this country.
The Phyongnam Hot spring is a chlorinated saline spring.
It is widely used for treatment of various diseases including hypertension, neuralgia, rheumatic troubles and dermatosis.

The Phyongnam Hot Spring and others across the country serve as the precious natural treatment resources of the country which are conducive to improving the people's health. Many of them have been designated as natural monuments and are under custody.
