Rojok Peak

The rocks consisting of the Rojok Peak are basalt covering the granite of the Mesozoic. The peak with clear cleat of the basalt looks like a heap of tens of thousand grain sacks. Hence the name--Rojok (Grain Stack) Peak.
Rojok Peak is of significance in studying the process of the formation of cleat of rock and the topography of the Paektu volcanic range. So it has been designated as Natural Monument No. 316 and is protected.
