New products peculiar to regions developed and produced at regional-industry factories
The Songchon County Foodstuff Factory in South Phyongan Province is producing many kinds of processed chestnuts with Songchon Chestnut, a special product of its region. The Jangyon County Foodstuff Factory in South Hwanghae Province established a beer production process in conformity with the characteristics of the region where barley is cultivated a lot and is producing different kinds of beer. Foodstuff factories in other parts of the country are turning out different kinds of products peculiar to their regions.
Garment factories across the country set clothes suited to the physiographical and climatic conditions of the regions concerned and the tastes of the residents as monopoly indices and are improving the quality of products while increasing their varieties.
