Request by Antonio
  Dear listeners,
Antonio of Brazil sent us an e-mail, which said:
Of the programs of "Voice of Korea", I like music. I want to listen to the song "The General Star" performed by the Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble and the song "Are We Living Like in Those Days?" by the Moranbong Band. Those songs are really wonderful.
First, we present the instrumental music and song "The General Star" created in Juche 61(1972) with poem by Ri Jong Ryul and music by People's Artist Sol Myong Sun. It will be performed by the Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble.

Here are the words of the song.

A star rises, a star rises
The general star rises high up over Mt. Paektu
Oh, looking up to the brilliant star
Our hearts throb with increasing hope

A star shines, a star shines
The general star sheds bright rays even to the deep forest
Oh, where the bright star shines
People are full of hope and happiness

Then, we present the light music and song "Are We Living Like in Those Days?" performed by the Moranbong Band. The song was created in Juche 81(1992) with poem by Ri Jong Sul and music by People's Artist Ri Jong O.
Following are the words of the song.

Whenever I open the photo album
With a lot of memory in my vernal years
My old comrades-in-arms during the war
  See me and ask
If we are living like in those days
If we are living like in those days
Like in those days when we crossed the River Raktong
  Shedding blood

Whenever I leaf through one by one
  Those unforgettable discoloured pictures
My comrades-in-arms who broke ground first on debris
  See me
How can we forget those days?
How can we forget those days,
Those days when we were singing revolutionary songs,
  Tightening our belts?

Years went by and I am now old
But my mind following the mother Party
Remains as it was when I was young
We will live forever like in those days
We will live forever like in those days
  Like in those days
When we remained true to the firm pledge

We express thanks to Antonio and other listeners who enjoyed the songs together.
