Youthful Days
People say the youthful days are most precious in man's life.
Jonwi Street is nearing its completion in the capital city of Pyongyang thanks to the unanimous desire of the young people to lead a worthwhile and proud life in those precious days.
Its construction started last year, which was assigned to the young people.
The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un took part in its ground-breaking ceremony, made a passionate speech and broke ground first to signal the start of the project. Participating in the ceremony was Kye Su Song who is now active as an official of the Phyongchon District Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League.

Hearing the speech of Kim Jong Un who called for displaying to the full once again in the capital city of Pyongyang the indomitable spirit unique to our courageous young people, Kye Su Song made up his mind to devote all his strength and enthusiasm at the construction site of a new street.
More than 10 years before, just before leaving his middle school, he had gone to the construction site of Changjon Street with his mother working in the field of construction and been greatly moved to see the young people working at night after a day's work or study.
While studying at the Kumsong University of Politics after his military service, he rendered active assistance to the construction of major objects in the capital city including the remodelling of the Korean Revolution Museum. After graduation from the university, he volunteered to join the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade and participated in the construction of Samjiyon City in the northern part. As soon as the project was finished, he came to the construction site of Jonwi Street together with other shock-brigaders.
He worked harder and harder to bring earlier the day of the completion of the new street.
Over 130 days passed and one day, he was appointed an official of the Phyongchon District Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League.
But he continued to find himself at the construction site.
After a day's work, he worked at the construction site at night and prepared aid materials at home to encourage the young builders. He also inspired the youth league members in the district to actively assist the construction of the new street materially and morally.
  Kye Su Song says:
"I think what I did is not big as compared with the good deeds displayed by the young people.
The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un said the young people should become patriotic youth making strenuous efforts for prosperity and progress of the country with patriotism as valuable as jewel.
As intended by him, I will continue to do good things for the country."
Kye Su Song is working every day with patriotism and enthusiasm to leave clear traces in his youthful days.
