To Hit a Higher Goal
Department Head Song Song Won said that they have recently studied new dental materials and introduced them into clinical practice, thus raising the effectiveness of treatment. He added:
"A great deal of progress has been made in the prosthetic field as well these days when the medical technology is developing constantly. The manufacture of prostheses by computer aided design is a technology firmly ensuring their adhesion, security and beauty. We introduced it to shorten the treatment process and make more precise and stable prostheses liked by people."
In the past, they set a goal to invent materials essential for prosthetic treatment and introduce them into clinical practice and worked hard to attain it.
In the course, they thought of making a new luting agent by adding supplementary materials to the main materials of the prostheses and intensified the research into it.
They confirmed the mixing ratio after many experiments and finally made a new luting agent.
On this basis, they established a process of designing and manufacturing prostheses in a three-dimensional way and formulated the order of curative methods according to the characteristics of people last year.
And they solved all the technical problems arising in the manufacture of prostheses by improving manual arts of the medical workers.
The new prosthesis processing technology was highly estimated at the "National Exhibition of Sci-Tech Success in the Field of Public Health--2024" as it ensures the hardness of prostheses, makes them look nice and promotes their convenience.
They set a higher goal and keep intensifying the research to introduce advanced prosthesis processing and treatment methods into clinical practice.
