Fine Art Work Seen by a Reporter
Now we tell you a story about a fine art work at their request.
Some time ago, a reporter of "Voice of Korea" saw the touching work while talking with an artist of the Korean painting.
It was the Korean painting "Kinship between the Army and the People".

It was created by Merited Artist Choe Il Bong in 2021.
The work impressively depicts what happened between the people of the Komdok area hit by typhoon in September 2020 and the soldiers of the Korean People's Army advancing to the rehabilitation site on the order of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The equipment and tools on the shoulders of the soldiers, road blocked by a slide of rocks and uprooted trees, destroyed walls and fences of dwelling houses, a large earthenware jar and the figure on the milestone show the tragic damage and the arduous march to the rehabilitation site.
The work portrays the soldiers of the People's Army full of the firm resolve to provide the people in the afflicted area with cradles of happiness as soon as possible and the confidence in victory.
It also shows the civilians who came with sincere aid materials for the soldiers, though suffering disaster.
Showing the painting to the reporter, Choe Il Bong explained its content as follows:
"Civilians are boiling what they brought from home for the soldiers on the road but the soldiers do not receive them.
An old man earnestly requests the commanding officer to accept the sincerity of the villagers. But the officer says they don't need them and tells the old man not to worry.
An old woman boiled corn ears she picked from her inundated kitchen garden and a young woman brought apples but the soldier refuses to take them. And a soldier behind him thanks a woman for boiled potatoes, saying they need nothing except water and air.
Civilians try to give aid materials to the soldiers and the soldiers refuse them.
The painting is so impressive.
I wanted to show the army-people unity in my painting."
The people support the army with all their sincerity however difficult the conditions and environment may be and the army devotes everything unsparingly for the people but does not allow any inconvenience for the people. This is the army-people unity witnessed anywhere in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Through the Korean painting, the reporter felt more deeply that the might of the army and the people united by kindred feelings brings the radical change both in the capital city and the regions.
It is said that nothing is stronger and purer than the unity based on affection and obligation in the relations between the people.
The Korean people and army will bring a greater victory and prosperity with the might of the great army-people unity.
