In May 2022, Covid-19 that swept the world made inroads into the territory of the DPRK. It was the most serious emergency case.
A special order of the Central Military Commission of the WPK was issued to the medical sector of the People's Army to commit a powerful force and immediately stabilize the supply of medicines in Pyongyang.
The medics of the KPA dispatched to more than 670 pharmacies in the capital city displayed boundless devotion and self-sacrificing spirit to defend the lives and security of the people at the risk of their lives.
On July 27, 2024 the city of Sinuiju and Uiju County of North Phyongan Province were hit by downpour, creating a serious crisis in which thousands of inhabitants were isolated in the zones vulnerable to flooding in several island areas. At that time, helicopters of the Air Force and various kinds of lifeboats of the Navy of the KPA were promptly committed to rescue all the inhabitants miraculously.

The People's Army always powerfully demonstrated its might in the van of the struggle for the people's happiness including the construction of 50,000 flats in the city of Pyongyang and that of regional-industry factories in cities and counties for the implementation of the new regional development policy of the WPK.
Thanks to its efforts, the 100-hectare Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm was built in South Hamgyong Province in 2022 and the Kangdong Combined Greenhouse Farm, the world's biggest vegetable producer, in 2024 and the construction of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm is nearing completion in 2025.
