Putting Forward the Line of Party Building in the New Era
The Workers' Party of Korea is ushering in the heyday of strengthening the whole Party according to the line of Party building in the new era.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK, directed much effort to studying the theory on party building corresponding to the new era. On October 17, 2022, he visited the Central Cadres Training School of the Workers' Party of Korea and gave a commemorative lecture, in which he clarified the original orientation of Party building in the new era.
In the lecture he stressed the need to strengthen the WPK into the one
politically mature, organizationally strong, ideologically pure, strict
in discipline and sound in work style as demanded by the new era. In a word, political building, organizational building, ideological building, discipline building and work style building are the orientation of our Party building in the new era, he clarified.
He affirmed that if our Party is firmly strengthened in the direction of political building, organizational building, ideological building, discipline building and work style building, it can strengthen its leadership ability and fighting efficiency and fully discharge its duty as the revolutionary Party responsible for the destiny and future of the people while not only carrying out immediate tasks of party building but also solving prospective problems actively and systematically.
He adopted the five-point line of party building in the new era at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK held in late December 2022.
At the plenary meeting, he expressed the belief that if the five-point orientation based on the theory of party building in the new era is confirmed as the line of our Party building, the WPK will be able to discharge its sacred mission and responsibility for the people forever while constantly maintaining and strengthening its character and original feature, and proposed that the orientation of party building in the new era representing the will of the whole Party be officially adopted as the Party's line at the plenary meeting.
As a result, the five-point orientation based on his original idea and theory on party building was adopted as the five-point line of party building in the new era.
This is how the far-sighted party building programme was provided, which can strengthen and develop the dignified WPK with the longest history of ruling party into a promising Party and accelerate the building of socialism and communism with confidence.
