Song of Reverence for the WPK

The Workers' Party of Korea has regarded it as an iron rule to give top and absolute priority to the interests of the people and work devotedly for them. That is why the Korean people trust and follow the WPK as their mother and compose and sing songs in praise of the Party reflecting their boundless reverence for it.
Among them is the song "O Party, My Mother".
The song expresses in lofty style the inmost feelings of the people across the country determined to entrust their destiny entirely to the Party and follow it as it takes care of their destiny with responsibility.
The first stanza of the song truthfully represents the simple feelings of the Korean people that the bosom of the Party is more precious than anything else, which takes warm care of the people like the mother who is concerned about her children day and night.

I call you first even in dream and on a long journey,
As you are concerned for me before others.
O Party, my mother, but for you,
Who would take so warm care of me?
This happiness of living in your bosom,
I'll never barter even for the world.

The WPK has always done everything for the interests and happiness of the people like the strong-willed mother braving trials and difficulties for her children.
It does not spare even a colossal sum of money but invests the whole wealth of the country for the people and cares for them lest they should feel any inconvenience. It is really like the overcautious mother.
The second stanza of the song sings of the firm belief in the WPK that protects the people with the feelings of the mother who always wishes her children success and devotes her all to them.
The Korean people do not forget the solemn image of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who commanded the operation to rescue the flood victims despite the danger of flooding owing to a sudden downpour and got aboard a rubber boat to look round the flooded areas.

That is why the Korean people feel boundless happiness of living in the benevolent bosom of the great father and firmly believe that they will be safe as long as there is the Party even if the world may change hundreds of times.
The third stanza of the song earnestly sings of the people's belief that they cannot live even a moment apart from the WPK which glorifies their life and emphasizes their loyalty to firmly trust and follow only the Party.
Getting stronger than ever before are the faith and will of the Korean people to staunchly take the road of revolution following the Party, the whole of their life, Prof. and Dr. Ri Hyon Sun, Researcher of the Academy of Social Sciences, said and continued:
"The song represents through lifelike and ordinary expressions the deep love of the WPK which embraces and leads our people with inexhaustible love and affection and enables even those living in gloom to lead a happy life. And its lyric melody arouses earnest and warm emotion. So the song generates great excitement and produces long-term effects."
The Korean people are dynamically opening a new era of overall national rejuvenation, loudly singing the song "O Party, My Mother" in praise of the WPK which writes a great history of the people-first principle.
