Woman Professor of Authority in the Mathematical World
She liked maths from her childhood. She distinguished herself during her middle school days by taking a top place in a national maths contest. When she entered the Faculty of Mathematics of Kim Il Sung University as she hoped, she made strenuous efforts without wasting even a minute in order to have high ability. As a result, she took a master's degree during her university days and a doctorate in her 30s. Later, she became a teacher of Kim Il Sung University and devoted all her wisdom and energy to education and scientific researches.
In those days, she pioneered four new subjects including the "Modern Probability Theory", wrote more than 10 kinds of textbooks and reference books and put the subject of "Probability and Mathematical Statistics" on a highly practical, comprehensive and modern footing.
Of course, those successes are wonderful, but the new "Our Classroom Response System" she studied and applied in the course of creating a profitable and superior teaching method shows intuitively well how hard she is striving to increase the efficiency of teaching and what great efforts she is directing to the educational development of the country, Department Head Ri Kyong Il said and continued:
"'Our Classroom Response System' makes it possible to check the assignments of all the students participating in lectures correctly in a short time and evaluate the marks of those students involved in the question and answer and discussion at the same time and on the spot. The system is now generalized across the country, making a substantial contribution to increasing the effectiveness of education."
Dr. Kim Kyong Hui contributed 9 valuable essays to an international scientific journal and took part in international scientific seminars held in different countries, fully demonstrating the honour of a Korean mathematician.

"Kim Kyong Hui established the forecasting method by time series analysis making it possible to analyze the data on phenomena which occur and change serially with the lapse of time and thus made a big contribution to controlling the epidemic crisis of our country and taking preemptive measures during the top-level emergency anti-epidemic period."
Kim Kyong Hui was awarded a high official commendation for her contribution to the educational development of the country. And she received a kind gift sent by the respected ComradeKim Jong Un some time ago.
