International Day of Midwives in 2025 marked in DPRK
An event was held at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club in Pyongyang on the 5th on the occasion of the International Day of Midwives in 2025.
Present at the event were officials of the Ministry of Public Health, officials concerned and medical workers of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital and in the city of Pyongyang. A speech was made.
The speaker said the International Confederation of Midwives raised the "Important Role of Midwives in Coping with Crises" as this year's theme and added that pregnant women and nursing mothers and newborn babies receive wonderful medical assistance under the state benefits in the socialist system of Korean style.
Then, some ways were presented as regards health care of the pregnant women and and nursing mothers and newborn babies in case of disaster.
