Lots of trees planted in spring
South Phyongan Province brought about good results in tree planting and the city of Kaesong planted trees to create forests for raw materials of regional industry.
Trees of economic value were planted in North Hwanghae Province for forest reformation and creation of forests for raw materials of regional industry, and the afforestation was promoted in Pyongyang and South Hwanghae and North Hamgyong provinces for landscape gardening of the newly-built rural villages.
A lot of trees of economic and ornamental value were planted in other regions, too, taking into account their climatic and soil conditions and the symbiotic relations of trees.
