Ro Kwang Ryol from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea took the first place at the 2025 Asian Weightlifting Championships. He jerked 212 kilograms and lifted a total of 380 kilograms, bagging gold medals in clean and jerk and total at the men's 89-kilogram event on the 12th. He finished second in snatch.
