DPRK Embassy in China gives reception

The Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in China gave a reception on the 8th on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK.
Invited to the reception were Zhang Qingwei, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, and officials of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Justice.
Present there were Ri Ryong Nam, DPRK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to China, and staff members of his embassy.
Addressing the reception, Ambassador Ri Ryong Nam touched on the exploits performed by the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for the founding, strengthening and development of the DPRK and for the accomplishment of the socialist cause. He also said that under the outstanding leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the daring spirit and potential power of our state are forcefully demonstrated and a new era of the overall national prosperity is opening, when the centuries-old desire of the people is translated into a brilliant reality, and continued:
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un participated in the commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War and met and had talks with Comrade Xi Jinping. Through the talks, he made a contribution to further strengthening the political trust and strategic cooperation between the two parties and the two countries and winning victory in the common socialist cause.
It is a consistent stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK to steadily deepen and develop the DPRK-China relations no matter how the international situation may change, he added.
Vice-Chairman Zhang Qingwei said in his speech that the Korean people have achieved constant new successes in the socialist construction under the wise leadership of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un over the past decades since the DPRK was founded on September 9, 1948.
He noted that the strategic guidance of the supreme leaders of the two parties and the two countries is the greatest upper hand and important political guarantee for the development of the China-DPRK relations. And he sincerely hoped that the fraternal Korean people would wonderfully carry out the tasks presented by the Eighth Congress of the WPK and open up a new phase of the socialist cause according to the blueprint indicated by the Ninth Congress of the WPK to be held in the future.
