Premier Pak Thae Song makes field survey of different sectors
Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of different sectors.
At the Samjigang Farm in Jaeryong County and the Sowon Farm in Pyoksong County, he acquainted himself with the yield of paddy rice according to strains, cultivation of aftercrops and harvesting and called for glorifying this significant year with increased grain production by reaping a rich harvest from South Hwanghae Province, major granary of the country.
He stressed the need to set the right time for harvesting in accordance with the ripening rate of ears and the geographical characteristics and distribute manpower and farm machines rationally for harvesting without any waste all the grains and to generalize the excellent experiences gained at agricultural production units throughout the country.
He visited the Pupho Mine and heard a detailed report on its operation and capacity expansion project. And he underlined the need to reinforce and perfect the mining and haulage system now that various production processes including the crushing and flotation processes have been fully established, thus providing a guarantee to revitalize the production on a high level.
After looking round different production sites of the Pyongyang Trolley Bus Factory, he took a battery bus on a trial run to learn about its technical conditions. He said the officials, technicians and workers of the factory and relevant units should put spurs to the modernization of equipment and steadily improve the security and performance of battery buses, remembering the intention of the Party that always pays deep attention to the issue of public transport in the capital city.
At the construction site of the Farm Machine Institute under the Agricultural Commission nearing completion, Premier Pak familiarized himself with the progress of the project and mentioned the ways to build the institute wonderfully to be flawless even in the distant future, which is playing an important role in implementing the rural revolution program in the new era.
