Pyongyang International Figure Skating Festival held
The Pyongyang International Figure Skating Festival was held at the Ice Rink on the 7th and the 8th.
The festival held on the theme of "Delight of October on the Ice" brought together figure skaters of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, China, Russia and Uzbekistan.
There were demonstrations of figure skaters of the DPRK and other countries at the festival.
A closing ceremony was held on the 8th.
Present there were Vice-Premier and Chairman of the State Planning Commission Pak Jong Gun, Vice-Chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, officials concerned, officials, coaches and players in the field of sports, and working people in the city of Pyongyang.
Also on hand were staff members of the embassy of the Russian Federation in the DPRK.
Diplomas were awarded to the players who showed rich artistry and high techniques in the festival.
A closing address was made by Minister of Finance Ri Myong Guk, Chairman of the Skating Association.
