80th anniversary of Central Telematics Bureau marked
A meeting was held on the 22nd to mark the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Central Telematics Bureau.
Present there were Vice-Premier Jon Sung Guk, Minister of IT Industry Ju Yong Il, officials concerned and officials and employees of the bureau.

The reporter said the great leader Kim Il Sung took measures to immediately restore the destroyed communications facilities and equipment after Korea's liberation, sent valuable equipment for ensuring successful telecommunications between the front and the rear during the hard-fought Korean War, selected the site for the building of the bureau after the war and energetically led the work to modernize the telecommunications of the country.
He noted that the great leader Kim Jong Il set October 14, 1945, when the historic speech of Kim Il Sung on his triumphal return home was aired, as the day of the establishment of the Central Telematics Bureau and indicated specific tasks and ways to strengthen and develop it into a comprehensive telecommunications base of the country.
He emphasized that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un conceived a grand plan to bring about a new turn in the work of posts and telecommunications and energetically led the bureau to creditably fulfil its honourable mission and duty as a reliable advanced base for ensuring telecommunications of the whole country.
The reporter called on all the officials and employees to discharge their duties in a more responsible manner and thus greet the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea with high political enthusiasm and proud labour achievements.
