National forest sci-tech successes exhibition and presentation held

A national forest sci-tech successes exhibition and presentation took place at the Central Botanical Garden between October 29 and November 5 under the sponsorship of the Korean Forest Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
The exhibition and presentation held under the theme of "Creation of Economic Forest and Protection of Forest Ecological Environment for Regional Rejuvenation" was attended by officials, teachers and researchers of Kim Il Sung University, the State Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Forest Science of the Forest Guidance Bureau under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, the Forest Equipment Factory, the Central Tree Nursery and other ministries and national agencies, scientific and educational institutions, production units and the provincial people's committees.
Presented to the exhibition were forest machines, tools, growth promoters and processed wild fruits produced at the regional-industry factories.
The successes and experiences made in putting the forest creation, protection and management on a scientific basis were mentioned and proposals for its ways discussed at the presentation.
During the period of exhibition and presentation there were technical workshop, symposium and experience-swap meeting related to the cultivation of trees of good species which are used to create forest of economic value.
Certificates and prizes were awarded to the excellent organizations and individuals.
