DPRK Premier makes field survey of different sectors of national economy
  Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of different sectors of the national economy.
  He visited the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex and stressed the need to check and repair the generating equipment in a foresighted way for normalized power production in winter and actively promote the work for keeping the boilers and steam pipe networks warm and reinforcing and perfecting the dedusting systems in cooperation with scientific research institutions.
  At the Namdok Youth Coal Mine under the Pukchang Area Youth Coal-Mining Complex, he met and encouraged colliers bringing about good results every day in the patriotic movement for increased coal production and said they should keep increasing the coal output by giving precedence to prospecting and tunnelling and operating the face equipment at full capacity.
  Acquainting himself with the operation of the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory and progress of the project for the establishment of the C1 chemical industry, he called for composing the processes and systems rationally with main stress on reducing the energy consumption as much as possible and for taking economic and technical measures to fully display the production capacity of the existing fertilizer and chemical factories.
  At the Pyongyang Mining Machine Factory, he emphasized the need to increase the production capacity and finishing accuracy and improve the quality of products by strengthening its own scientific and technological might and production foundation, while putting spurs to the production of ordered equipment.
  The consultative meetings held on the spot discussed the issues on producing lots of efficient coal mining equipment, on supplying in time sufficient amount of equipment and materials needed for increasing the power and coal production in relevant sectors and units including metallurgical and machine-building industries and on paying deep attention to providing the employees with living conditions, and took necessary measures.
