Sodium alginate production process of Korean style established in South Hwanghae Province
  South Hwanghae Province has established a new sodium alginate production process of Korean style, laying another foundation for the economic development of the region and the improvement of the people's living.
  Sodium alginate whose main raw materials are seaweed including kelp is a functional additive which is widely used in different fields and units of the national economy such as the textile, pulp and paper-making, chemical, cosmetics, foodstuff, pharmaceutical, metallurgical and mining industries.
  The province encourages the relevant fields and units to further raise the level of modernization of the sodium alginate production process and its production capacity, direct efforts to normalizing the production and improving the quality of the products and put spurs to the researches and development for widening the sphere of its application.
