Afforestation put on highly scientific basis in North Phyongan Province
The province took necessary measures to boost the rooting rate of the planted trees by applying bioactive substances or nutrition reinforcing agent to saplings or big trees when transplanting them.
The Provincial Forestry Science Institute achieved good results in carrying out more than 10 scientific research projects including the research into the method of cultivating saplings of new good species.
Besides, the province repaired hundreds of kilometre-long fire belt, took measures for normal operation of forest fire observation cameras and prepared drones for spraying agrochemicals, making it possible to protect the forest.
