Groundbreaking ceremonies for regional development policy-oriented construction held in several counties
Groundbreaking ceremonies for regional development policy-oriented construction were held in Pongsan County of North Hwanghae Province, Sijung County of Jagang Province, Sinhung County of South Hamgyong Province and Thongchon County of Kangwon Province on the 8th.
They were attended by Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Ri Hi Yong and Kim Tok Hun, Secretaries of the Central Committee of the WPK, Ju Chol Gyu, Department Director of the Party Central Committee, chief secretaries of the provincial Party committees, officials of those provinces and counties, working people and service personnel of the People's Army.
Addressing the ceremonies, speakers stressed that the light industry factories, hospitals and leisure complexes to be built in 20 cities and counties this significant year, which will open a new stage of attaining grand goals for the overall development of socialism, are a proof of the truthfulness and vitality of the regional revolution of the Party for realizing the ideal and centuries-old desire of the people and the bright prospect of socialism.
They said the officers and men of the 124th regiments involved in the construction should build entities of civilization and prosperity for the people's happiness on the highest level at the new construction sites as well.
Speeches were made by commanding officers of the 124th regiments of the Korean People's Army.
Then, soldier-builders got to work all at once, replete with enthusiasm to perform great feats at the new sites of regional industry revolution.
