Groundbreaking ceremonies for enlarged and intensified regional development policy-oriented
construction in the new year were held in Hwaphyong County of Jagang Province,
Phyonggang County of Kangwon Province, Riwon County of South Hamgyong
Province, Myonggan County of North Hamgyong Province and Samsu County of Ryanggang Province on the 9th.
They were attended by Ri Il Hwan, Ri Hi Yong and Choe Tong Myong, Secretaries of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Hyong Sik, Department Director of the Party Central Committee, chief secretaries of the provincial Party committees, officials of those provinces and counties, working people, service personnel of the People's Army and shock brigade members of South Hamgyong Province.
Addressing the ceremonies, speakers said the regional development revolution entered a new high stage under the outstanding and seasoned leadership of the respected ComradeKim Jong Un who regards it as the supreme principle of the Party and state activities to realize the people's ideal and dynamically opens up the era of the unheard-of transformation since the founding of the country.
They ardently called on all to devote all their patriotic strength and enthusiasm for prosperity of the country.
