Successes made in comprehensive mechanization of rural economy
After the rural revolution programme in the new era was presented at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, many farm machine production units in different parts of the country including the Kumsong Tractor Factory, the Namsi Husbandry Machine Factory and the Sariwon Tractor Accessory Parts Factory were rebuilt on a modern footing to expand their capacity and homemade farm machines supplied to the rural communities throughout the country every year, increasing the proportion of the farm work done by machines.
