Lunar New Year's Day celebrated in DPRK
  All people in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea celebrated the significant lunar New Year's Day.
  Many people visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche, on the occasion of the lunar New Year's Day.
  In the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the visitors reverentially looked back upon the sacred revolutionary life of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who performed the immortal exploits for the times and revolution, the country and people, holding high the red flag of revolution all their lives.
  Officials, working people, service personnel of the People's Army and school youth and children laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the bronze statues and mosaic murals of the great leaders in all parts of the country including Manu Hill, and paid homage to them.
  The performances given at the theatres in the city of Pyongyang and provinces increased the festive mood all the more.
  Schoolchildren enjoyed themselves at the plaza of the Arch of Triumph in the capital city and in different places of the provinces on the same occasion, playing folk games such as kite-flying, top spinning and rope jumping.
  Public catering service units across the country served the customers with festive foods and many working people enjoyed themselves at bases for cultural and emotional life including the Central Zoo and the Natural History Museum.
  Splendid neon signs in all parts of the capital city including Saeppyol, Hwasong and Jonwi streets made the evening of the holiday conspicuous.
