"National Contest of Amateur Skiers--2026" held
The "National Contest of Amateur Skiers--2026" was held at the Masikryong Ski Resort between the 15th and the 17th on the occasion of the lunar New Year's Day.
More than 140 amateur skiers selected from across the country competed in the giant slalom and slalom of alpine skiing, divided into categories of juveniles, youth, and middle-aged and old people of both sexes.
A final match of the players who proved successful in the preliminaries took place on the 17th.
It was enjoyed by senior officials of the Party and the government, officials of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, officials concerned, officials and working people in Kangwon Province and amateur skiers.
Prior to the match, there was an aerials demonstration of professional skiers.
Then there were final matches of the relevant categories.
The amateur skiers showed impressive scenes in the matches.
Prizes were awarded to the players who came off victors in the finals.
