Active efforts to increase proportion of farm work done by machines
Cities and counties in South Hwanghae Province is pushing ahead with repairs and maintenance of tractors and repairs and remodelling of thousands of nutritive seedling transplanters under the goal of finishing this year's rice-transplantation in due season.
North Hamgyong Province is directing efforts to strengthening the material and technical foundations of different city and county farm machine stations on the basis of having built the Hoeryong City Farm Machine Station as a model.
South Phyongan Province ensures that the flat and intermediary areas with a lot of paddy fields are furnished with efficient farm machines and the proportion of medium and small farm machines is raised in the mountainous areas according to their characteristics.
North Phyongan, North Hwanghae and South Hamgyong provinces also take positive measures to increase the proportion of the farm work done by machines.
