Wreaths laid at Liberation Tower and Cemetery of Fallen Soldiers of Soviet Army












Staff members of the embassy of the Russian Federation in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea placed a wreath before the Liberation Tower on the 23rd on the occasion of the Day of Defenders of the Motherland.
Guards of honour of the Korean People's Army were standing at the tower.
Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Charge D'affaires Ad Interim Vladimir Topeha, Defence Attache Alexei Bartusov and other staff members of the Russian embassy, officers of the KPA and officials concerned.
The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the DPRK were played.
Amid the playing of wreath-laying music, a wreath in the name of the Russian embassy was placed before the Liberation Tower.
The visitors paid tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army before looking round the tower.
They also laid a wreath and flowers at the Cemetery of Fallen Soldiers of the Soviet Army in Sadong District of Pyongyang.
Earlier, staff members of the Russian embassy visited the Monument to the Soviet Army in the city of Nampho.
