Pyongyang municipal army-people joint meeting and public procession held
A Pyongyang municipal army-people joint meeting and public procession for implementing the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea took place with splendour at Kim Il Sung Square on the 27th.
The rostrum was taken by Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and other members of the central leadership of the Party.
Present at the meeting were the participants in the Ninth Congress of the WPK, officials of the ministries and national agencies, officials, working people, service personnel of the People's Army and youth and students in Pyongyang and members of the congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan and the congratulatory group of the General Association of Koreans in China.
The national anthem of the DPRK was played.
Ju Chang Il, Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, made a speech.
He said the dignity and prestige of the Party and the state are shining on the highest level and the spiritual strength of self-respect and self-development and self-confidence have settled down more firmly in the hearts of the people and service personnel thanks to the outstanding guidance of the respected ComradeKim Jong Un who leads the revolution and construction to radical growth and leap forward with his clairvoyant wisdom, resolute principle, independent faith and mettle.
He noted that it is the unanimous mind and firm faith of the Korean people to entrust their destiny entirely toKim Jong Un and hold him in high esteem with a single heart, who is boundlessly loyal to the revolution, this country and future and devotes his all to the dignified and happiest life of the people.
He called on all to double their patriotic enthusiasm and fighting spirit and wage a vigorous struggle for the successful implementation of the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the WPK and for the prosperity and development of the DPRK, our glorious motherland.

The public procession started amid the playing of the song "Long Live the Workers' Party of Korea".
Columns of paraders passed through the square with that of float depicting the Party emblem at the head.
