39th Pyongyang Municipal Sci-Tech Festival opens
The festival will be held in various forms such as presentation and exhibition of sci-tech successes, sci-tech workshop and exchange of new technologies and products, divided into 25 panels including those of metallurgical, chemical, electric power and machine-building industries.
Presented to the festival were more than 800 proposals of valuable sci-tech achievements made by industrial establishments, farms, ministries, national agencies, universities and research institutions in the city last year as well as upwards of 6,500 exhibits of over 550 kinds.
A speech was made at the opening ceremony attended by officials concerned, and officials and working people in the city.
After the ceremony, the participants looked round the venue of the festival.
