IT means for forest fire watch introduced in South Hwanghae Province
The province is providing the city and county forest sectors with necessary equipment and taking measures to supply electricity for normal operation of the equipment.
It has established a system capable of watching forest fire in real time in more than 10 places including Mts. Kuwol and Jangsu and is paying attention to increasing the utilization rate and accuracy of the monitoring equipment.
A number of forestry management stations have set up a dual power supply system to operate the equipment without interruption.
The province is also conducting the methodological work to generalize to cities and counties the experience of Sinwon County which established an instant information system capable of warning possible outbreak of fire in the course of monitoring forest fire by using IT means.
