80th anniversary of Pyongyang Old People's Home marked
A meeting was held on April 2 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Pyongyang Old People's Home.
Present there were officials concerned, and officials and employees of the old people's home. Director Choe Chong Sim made a report.
She said that so busy as he was walking the untrodden path of nation building, the great leader Kim Il Sung took measures to look after the old people with no one to depend on under the charge of the state and indicated specific issues arising in bettering the living of the health-seekers.
She also said the great leader Kim Jong Il established the habit of preferentially treating and actively putting forward the old people and ensured that health-seekers lived without any inconveniences.
Thanks to the noble love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the Pyongyang Old People's Home has been turned into a cradle of happiness that proves the validity of the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on the protection of the aged, the reporter added.
She stressed that the officials and employees of the old people's home should more thoroughly implement the Party's policy on the protection of the aged and thus bring about a fresh turn in the work of the home.
