Talks held between Foreign Ministers of DPRK and China

Choe Son Hui, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, had talks with Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China, at the Kumsusan State Guesthouse on the 9th.
Saying that the traditional DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations are dynamically developing on a new high level according to an important agreement reached by the top leaders of the two countries, she expressed the stand of the government of the DPRK to further strengthen the DPRK-China friendship with the common ideal of socialism as fundamental foundation in accordance with the desire and in the interests of the two peoples.
Wang Yi said that Comrade Xi Jinping and Comrade Kim Jong Un had a historic meeting and talks in Beijing in September last year and presented fundamental guideline which is of epochal significance in developing the China-DPRK friendly relations onto a new stage, stressing that it is the steadfast stand of the Chinese party and government to wonderfully safeguard, consolidate and develop the China-DPRK friendship no matter how the international situation may change.
The two sides agreed on further deepening the diversified exchanges and cooperation and intensifying the strategic understanding and communication, support and cooperation between the foreign policy organs of the two countries this year marking the 65th anniversary of the conclusion of the China-DPRK treaty on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance.
Present at the talks from the DPRK side were Vice-Minister Kim Myong Su and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and from the Chinese side were the party of Foreign Minister and Wang Yajun, Chinese Ambassador E.P. to the DPRK.
