Talks held between Chairman of GFTUK CC and Chairman of IFTUR
Talks between Ri Won Jong, Chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, and Sergei Chernogayev, Chairman of the Independent Federation of Trade Unions of Russia, were held at the Pyongyang Assembly Hall on the 14th.
Discussed at the talks were issues on expanding and strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the federations of the two countries in conformity with the friendly relations between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Russia which have greeted a new turning phase.
Present at the talks from the DPRK side were Vice-Chairman Kim Song Ho and other officials of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea and from the opposite side were members of the delegation of the Independent Federation of Trade Unions of Russia and Vladimir Topekha, charge d'affaires ad interim of the embassy of the Russian Federation in the DPRK.
After the talks, there was signed a memorandum of understanding on friendship and cooperation between the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea and the Independent Federation of Trade Unions of Russia.
That evening, the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea gave a reception at the Pyongyang Koryo Hotel in honour of the delegation.
