Official commendation of Russian Federation awarded to commanding officers and combatants of overseas operations units of KPA




According to a decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the Order of Bravery was awarded to the commanding officers and combatants of the overseas operations units of the Korean People's Army who rendered distinguished services to liberating the territory of the Russian Federation from the Ukrainian Neo-Nazi forces' military occupation.
The awarding ceremony was held in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on the 26th.
Present there were Russian Minister of Defence Andrei Beloussov and his party on a visit to the DPRK to participate in the inaugural ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations, and Alexei Bartusov, Defence Attache of the Russian Embassy in the DPRK.
Also on hand were the DPRK Minister of National Defence No Kwang Chol, Vice-Foreign Minister Kim Jong Gyu, officials of the Ministry of National Defence and the participants in the overseas military operations.
Andrei Beloussov awarded the Order of Bravery to the commanding officers and combatants of the overseas operations units and made a speech.
He said he commends the Korean service personnel who are boundlessly loyal to their motherland and made a great contribution to the liberation of Kursk upon authorization of the Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and paid respects to the genuine heroes of the present times, a pride of the Korean armed forces.
He stressed that the official commendation is not a mere award to professionalism of soldier, but an award to the noble spirit to carry out their missions and save their comrades-in-arms by devoting themselves while overcoming the most difficult battles, sleepless nights and heavy mental and physical pressure.
Saying the bravery and resolution of the service personnel of the KPA made a great contribution to achieving the common success, he expressed deep thanks to them on behalf of the entire Russian people.
Andrei Beloussov conveyed to No Kwang Chol the official commendation of the Russian Federation and its President's decree to the martyrs who performed heroic feats in the battle for liberating the Kursk region.
No Kwang Chol expressed thanks to the government of the Russian Federation for its high appreciation of the combat feats performed by the service personnel in the overseas military operations of the KPA.
