Full preparations made for fish farming in paddy fields
The Agricultural Commission and the agricultural guidance organs at all levels set a goal to introduce paddy-field fish farming into large areas and are intensifying the organization of economic work and technical guidance for its implementation.
Farms in South Hwanghae Province are taking practical measures to extensively breed fish in paddy fields, including the construction of reliable seed fish bases, supply of feed and introduction of advanced hatching methods.
Those in Pyongyang, North Phyongan Province and the city of Nampho are actively promoting the work to expand fish farming in paddy fields while paying attention to selecting right soil and putting on a scientific basis all the processes such as supplying enough feed and ensuring appropriate water temperature.
