Efforts directed to land improvement
  South Hwanghae Province, an agricultural province of the country, is directing efforts to the land improvement in order to reap a good harvest this significant year when the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea was held.
  With the aim of producing more grains per hectare the province is actively pushing ahead with the work to improve the land by introducing the soil salinity balance controlling method, a new method of land improvement.
  In this case, mutual balance of nutrient components insufficient in soil is controlled and conditions in favour of the growth of crops are provided. Therefore, the province is making a detailed analysis of soil for all the land and improving it in a a scientific and technological way.
