Staff members of Russian embassy lay wreaths at Liberation Tower and Cemetery of Fallen Soldiers of Soviet Army
  Staff members of the embassy of the Russian Federation in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea laid a wreath at the Liberation Tower on the 9th on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War of Russia.
  Guards of honour of the Korean People's Army were standing at the Liberation Tower.
  Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were charge d'affaires ad interim Vladimir Topeha and other staff members of the Russian embassy, members of the foreign diplomatic corps and military attaches' corps in the DPRK, and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK.
  The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the DPRK were played.
  Amid the playing of wreath-laying music, a wreath in the name of the Russian embassy was placed at the Liberation Tower.
  The visitors observed a moment's silence in memory of the fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army before looking round the tower.
  That day, the staff members of the Russian embassy laid a wreath, bouquets and flowers at the Cemetery of the Fallen Soldiers of the Soviet Army in Sadong District.
  Earlier, the staff members of the Russian embassy visited the Monuments to the Soviet Army in Sinuiju, Uiju, Tongnim, Wonsan, Hamhung, Nampho and Haeju and those of the Russian consulate general in Chongjin the Liberation Tower and the cemetery of fallen soldiers in Chongjin.
