Overall educational foundation of DPRK further strengthened
  An undertaking for hitting the grand goal for educational development put forth by the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and for thoroughly implementing the second universal 12 year compulsory education program is being intensified.
  Under the energetic leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un a great heyday for implementing revolution in education in the new era has opened up and unprecedented changes and advance are made in the overall education.
  After the 14th National Conference of Teachers, the educational structure of the country has been modified anew in keeping with the developing reality, teaching forces strengthened qualitatively and hundreds of integrated schools, more than 1,630 schools, over 1,590 branch schools, 1,100 kindergartens and others remodeled and modernized across the country.
