Great efforts directed to improving education of rural schools
The Ministry of Education generalized the experience of the Central Teachers' Training Centre which created a model in enhancing the educational level of rural schools and induced the officials in the field of education and educators across the country to turn out in the work as one.
The city of Pyongyang saw that the day of Thursday joint department was run on a regular basis, which is done between branch schools in rural areas and schools in central districts of the city through telecommunication. In addition, it dispatched instructors of the City Teachers' Training Centre and the Teachers' In-Service Training Centres in different districts and excellent teachers to rural schools to improve the qualifications of the teachers.
North Phyongan Province organized a detailed work to send instructors of the Provincial Teachers' Training Centre to cities and counties to help the rural schools in improving their education.
On the other hand, the province made the cities and counties work out detailed plans to raise the educational level of the backward rural schools to that of urban schools and send excellent educators of the region including instructors of the teachers' in-service training centres to rural schools to intensify the guidance over the improvement of the qualifications of teachers and the ability of students.
