80th anniversary of Journalists Union of Korea marked

A meeting was held at the People's Palace of Culture on the 9th to commemorate the 80th founding anniversary of the Journalists Union of Korea.
Present there were officials concerned, officials and employees of the Central Committee of the Journalists Union of Korea, and officials, journalists and media people of the press in the city of Pyongyang.
Pak Tong Sok, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Journalists Union of Korea, made a commemorative report.
He said the 80-year-long history of the Journalists Union of Korea is a glorious history shining with the undying achievements of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who paid deep attention to the strengthening and development of the union and wisely led it to creditably perform its mission and duty.
He stressed that the entire officials, journalists and media people should do their honourable duty in the struggle for the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism true to the ideology and leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un.
