DPRK Premier makes field survey of different sectors
Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of different sectors of the national economy.
At the Chollima Steel Complex, he stressed the importance of the duty of the complex in attaining the new long-term goal set by the Ninth Party Congress and touched on further raising the operational efficiency of equipment, adopting rational iron production methods in line with the actual conditions and actively tapping the reserves and ways for increased production and economy.
He encouraged the officials and workers at the Unjong Farm in Sonchon County and the Ilhae Farm in the city of Jongju who reaped a good hearvest in this year's farming by distributing strains and manuring and cultivating the crops in a scientific and technological way.
He learned about the grain processing and storing capacity of the Yomju County Grain Management Station.
At the Tongnim Mining Machine Factory, he stressed the need to standardize the products by putting efforts into the technical control and the management of equipment and lay firm material and technical foundations for developing and producing highly efficient machinery and equipment of new type.
Relevant measures were taken at the consultative meetings held on the spot.
