Official commendations awarded to players, coaches and members concerned

A meeting was held at the Weightlifting Gymnasium in Chongchun Street of Pyongyang on the 13th to award official commendations to the players and coaches who proved successful at international games and members concerned.
Present there were Ri Ju Myong, Deputy Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea who is Vice-Chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, Kim Il Guk, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports, officials concerned, players and coaches who proved successful at international games and sportspeople.
A decree of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was read out.
Kim Il Sung Youth Honour Prize was awarded to Yu Jong Hyang, woman football player of the April 25 Sports Team, and nine others, Kim Jong Il Youth Honour Prize to O Chong Gum, woman football player of the Sobaeksu Sports Team, and seven others and Kim Il Sung Children Honour Prize to Choe Yun Jong, student of the Tonghungsan Senior Middle School in Tonghungsan District, the city of Hamhung, South Hamgyong Province, and one other.
The title of People's Athlete was conferred on Yang Chun Song, senior wrestling coach of the April 25 Heavy Weight Games Team, and 12 others and the title of Merited Athlete on Sin Yun Hyok, player of the Pyongyang Municipal Taekwon-Do Team, and 15 others.
And the Order of the National Flag 1st Class and many other official commendations were awarded to 85 persons.
Speeches were made at the meeting.
