DPRK player bags gold medal at 2026 Asian Wrestling Championship
  Kim Kwang Myong from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea bagged a gold medal at the 2026 Asian Wrestling Championship held in Kyrgyzstan.
  At the 61-kg freestyle wrestling events, he defeated his Mongolian rival 10:0 in the preliminaries, Turkmen rival 11:0 in the quarterfinals and Uzbek rival 3:0 in the semifinals before advancing to the finals.
  In the finals held on the 12th, he trounced his Indian rival 13:10 and came off a victor.
  And Ri Se Ung, Kim Son Hyang and Mun Hyon Gyong from the DPRK finished second at the 60-kg Greco-Roman and women's 50- and 62-kg wrestling respectively and bagged silver medals.
  Meanwhile, An Kum Byol, Won Un Gyong and Hwang Hyo Sun took the second place at the women's 51-, 60- and 65-kg events of the 2026 Asian Boxing Championship held in Mongolia.
