80th anniversary of Korean Documentary and Science Film Studio marked
A meeting was held at the People's Palace of Culture on June 30 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Korean Documentary and Science Film Studio.
Present at the meeting were officials concerned, and officials, creators and other employees of the studio.
Mun Ung Chol, Director of the Korean Documentary and Science Film Studio, made a commemorative report.
He said the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung had the studio established and led it step by step so that the documentaries and science films could wonderfully perform their mission in each period and at every stage of the developing revolution even in so difficult a situation that untrodden path of nation building had to be taken right after liberation.
He stressed that the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il put forward the original ideas, theories and policies on building the Juche-oriented documentaries and science films and made all painstaking efforts to indicate specific orientation and ways for creation of films ranging from their seeds to photographing, editing, preparation of expository writing and musical composition.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un energetically led the work to make greater innovations in the creation of documentaries and science films in the new historical turning point of the Juche revolution, the reporter added.
