Press release on third strategic dialogue between FMs of DPRK and Russian Federation
The press release said there was the third strategic dialogue between the DPRK Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui and the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on July 20, and continued:
There was constructive and beneficial strategic communication at the dialogue with main stress on the fulfilment of the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, plan of high-level contacts and many-sided cooperation between both countries and diplomatic coordination for major and pending international issues of mutual concern and a consensus of views was reached in all problems discussed.
Recognizing that the comradely friendship between the heads of state of the two countries serves as the most powerful motive force guaranteeing the solidity and future-oriented nature of the development of the DPRK-Russia relations, the both sides reaffirmed their steadfast political will to accelerate the long-range strengthening and development of relations between the two countries in many fields under the highest-level strategic guidance irrespective of the change in situation.
The Russian side opposed all the hostile acts seriously threatening the present position of the DPRK and right to its development and expressed full support to all efforts and measures of the DPRK to safeguard the sovereign rights and security interests of the country.
The DPRK side expressed invariable support and encouragement to all the internal and external policies of the Russian Federation to remove the source of the Ukrainian conflicts and defend the national sovereignty, territorial integrity and international justice from the imperialist moves for hegemony.
The both sides agreed to seek solution for defending the purpose and principles of the UN Charter and other international laws with the equality of sovereignty and noninterference in internal affairs as the core and making effective countermeasures against the challenges to regional and world security in coping with the development of situation detrimental to the global peace and stability and keep sharing opinions between the external policy organs of the two countries including minister-level strategic dialogue at different levels, the press release noted.
